Hi i am in UAE and mostly Video chats are blocked here. I don’t want to pay 50/100 AED every month
If there are any free apps (Duo? Telegram? Signal? Snapchat?) where free video calling is working to call overseas. Thanks!I don’t live in the UAE so i don’t have much idea about it
You can use the VPN and start video calling on What’s app.Unfortunately, you can not use VPN here as well. Even if you turn on your VPN it gets disconnected itself due to high restriction
I am wondering why UAE government blocked the Video calls ?. How’d you guys contact your family ?

We’ve been using instagram live. We created a private account and only follow each other. Start a live video and request the other to join. Works like a charm.

Why not use zoom, teams, hangouts etc. All free and working.
Does that work outside internet connections now? Thought it was still blocked on residential. Maybe temporary because of covid?
Don’t worry, i live in the UAE and use Bottom APP for Videos calls. Its free there’s no hidden charges
